♥ Science challenge at SP ♥

okayyy..so i didnt go cross country today.. BUT i will tell you guys the reason why later.
SO! yesterday after school, my team members: chole,nazma, vivienne and I were dismissed early at 1pm and we headed to KFC for lunch. COOL RIGHT?! then since it was getting late, we cabbed to SP..and got a little lost. THAT place is super huge okay! however, we mananged to find our way to the holding room and wow..there were many schools participating in the competition toos! Started off with a few boring talks on the different courses that SP provides in its Chemical and Life Sciences school. and then finally! The game master came to his briefing on the science amazing race!
By that time, 30mins of the game has already passed, and the worst thing was, i URGENTLY need to pee..but before i can even go to the toliet, he sounded the honk and the other school teams are like choinging to their destinated stations...so OH WELL.gotta hold my bladder till the end of the race because every minute counts! There were althogether 3 diploma stations, each with 4 obstacles that we have to overcome in order to proceed to the next diploma..the first one went well and we managed to complete it within 30mins! (the whole thing was abt 1hr 30mins). By then, we were all drenched in sweat and were DAMN tired. There was one task in which we had to do thise chromatography experiment to find out what are the things that are found in panadol extra..and chole's hand was really SHAKING like hell when she was trying to put a drop of acid on the chromatography paper...so in the end..vivienne had to take over.We procceeded to our 2nd diploma and to complete sound of the tasks there.
Then there was this task that we had to do..we were given 5 unknowed bottles containing substances inside..we can touch and smell it but we had to guess what that substance was and write in on a worksheet which was supposed to be marked by the student helpers.. Then there was this guy who was waving his hand to signal us to come to their station and he kept saying " EH HELLOHELLO! NICE TO MEET YOU, IM MR THOMAS FRIEND!" and his grp of friends were like bursting out laughing..LIKE SO NOT FUNNY! =.=! so obvious he's and ex-jurongvillan, and just realised that mr thomas is so popular!LOL. the 1st bottle was this powdery substance with a soapy smell. The minute i look at that specimen and smelled it, my insticts kicked in and i was like shouting the answer to my teamates " EHH OMG! THIS ONE IS MY MOTHER'S FAVORITE DEGTERGENT BRAND FOR WASHING CLOTHES!!!" the minute they heard that..everyone around us started to laugh hesterically! like LOLS lahs..especially vivienne and nazma who laughed until their stomach hurt! :D.and when im typing this..i couldnt help but laugh! XD
Halfway through the challenge..we got into some difficulties because the school was like SO DAM FREAKING BIG , that we got lost and we couldnt complete out last stop for the diploma..so we had to jump to the 3rd diploma and complete all the tasks there. i am telling you i am SO not gonna take material science course im telling you..we did BADLY in that diploma..there was once we had had bowl and we were given only 3 chances to do it and see how many water bottles had fallen. we got like what? 3 OUT OF 10 WATER BOTTLES?! our bowling skills sure SUCKED like hell! LOLOLOL! and the last stop..we had to do another experiment...of course chole is doing it AGAIN! :DDD~ but we had to come back like 2mins to see our results..by then, we only left with 3mins before the race ended! and we decided to search for the stop which we couldnt find just now...ran and ran..and we finally found it! only...to be rejected cuz they say the race ended already..
so we had to run back all the way to the ending point...and i was like HEARTBROKENED to see that many teams had already arrived LONG LONG time ago and they were like digging into the refreshments... was so freaking sad lahs... i didnt even talk to my team mates..then chole was like , "hey kelly, i thought u needed to go to the toliet?!" and i was like ...OH YAH! gosh..how could i forget about it?! I was like so into the challege that i forgot about my bladder! so well..after that...we went to a corner to eat a bit before proceeding to the auditorium for the prize presentation..turns out that..we didnt win anything at all.. haiz, and we came with high hopes that we could actually win something.
All the good schools seemed to be getting the top prizes...guess we didnt try harder. then the host was like saying "even thought some of teams didnt get the top prize, its just a game. all of us are winners!!" but we were all too disappointed. so we went home..exhausted. and i suddenly realised that there was this sharp pain at my ankle..and woah..i saw a big bump at the bone area there...how suprising! i didnt noe that i sprained my ankle until i reached home...i've never been much so immersed in a game i guess! But the feeling of disappointment is gone now..^__^v and my friends were like saying that maybe we could participate some of these activities in the future again! HAHAHAHS (:
