♥ Youth Leader's camp '09 i miss centurions! xD ♥

HELLOOOOSS! :D

awwww... Im gonna miss you guys ): centurions ROCKS! (:

Day 1

okays! So i met up with Nazma & Agnes at the bustop and we went to school together. Crapped around and the teachers had to do temperature taking and admin stuffs like that. Stay in school for like 1hr+ before the bus came and off we went to Ngee Ann Poly! (: When we reach there, we had to be separated into our individual "tribes". Althogether there are 5 tribes. They are Centurions,Ninja,Vikings,Spartans and Apaches. Agnes,Atiqah and I were in Centurions! hahahs XD~ so we had to check into out apartments 1st. We took the escaltor up to the highest lvl which is the 11th floor! The senery up there so BEAUTIFUL. We were greeted by 2 of our faciltators, they are Fauzi and Amar. We were given our room passcode so that we could open the door. The minute we entered our apartments..we were all like O.O! then we all started screaming like hell.

wanna know why? then you watch this vid and you'll know what i mean.

COOL RIGHT! like and ideal CONDOMINUIM! ARGHHHH theres' even a kitchen. LOLOLS! This was taken at the 2nd night. hahahs! This is not what i have expected. A total surprise ppl!

Then Amar was like: "okay, 2 of your tribe members are in the room also, so why dont you guys intoduce yourselves 1st as we are still waiting for the rest of the tribe members. Then these 2 people came out from their rooms. The minute this malay girl showed up, i duuno why my body started recacting on its own, and i started screaming and running towards her. Turns out that i was my ex-classmate in my primary school. She's Khilda. HAHAHS! we were like hugging each other and jumping around so frantically. LOLOLOL :D After that, the 3 off us went to put our stuff. We had 3 beds. I choose the one nearest to the big window! Then after that, another facilitator of ours, Bernice, came into our apartment and she was like:" you guys can help out with the snacks on the table, dont worry, everything is free sp help yourselves out. Then after that, we went to grab out things as we were told to assemble into our tribe room so that we can meet the rest of the tribe members.

Altogether, there were 4 schools participating in the camp. Jurongville,Jurong,Unity and Clementi secondary school. So we had tribe members from 4 diff schools. So lemme intoduce you the CRAZY facilitators 1st. They are Amar,Fauzi,Bernice,Ben and hongling. they are all damndamn funny i tell you! I explain that later. The the fun-filled and Freaky people(just like me!) of the tribe. They are me,agnes,atiqah, wei en, biravee, Farah(my ex-schoolmate!), lay ping, shaline, khilda, dina, hongjia, junyong, whe how, kris, faez. So altogether there were 20 of us + the crazy facalitators. Then we went to introduce ourselves. Its fated that i met 2 of our school-mates from my pri school.ahahahs! they are khilda and farah.blahblahblah..then after that we proceeded to the lecture hall by bus. On the way there, we sang our cheer songs. As we reached there, we had tea 1st.

At the tribe room, we practice our cheers and we had to come up with a skit because there will be like a finale at the last day to crown the ulitmate tribe. So we had to come up with a Power cheer where we had to combine all the cheers into one. Then you know, Bernice and fauzi were SO DAMN HILARIOUS! I have never laughed so hard in my life before! Those 2 are like the most craziest couple i have ever met, without them, it wouldnt be so fun at all. Amar also tried to joke with us but then Fauzi was like, " eh amar, find better jokes lah!" LOLOLOLOLOL! but ohh well, slept around like 2pm.

DAY 2

Woke up at 6pm. It was sooo damnnnn cold lahs! Aitqah, agnes and i were like shivering like hell. thanks to the air-con. Then we turned it off and unlocked the big window so that we could get out and warm ourselves. We all went to shower after that. When all of us were ready, we assembled at tribe room before heading downstairs for breakfast. What for breakfast? well, we had rice,otakotak,fishball,so vegetables and meat + ikan bilis. Very scrumptous indeed! All of us were look so dead in the morning czu we all had less than 4hours of sleep. But after eating breakfast, we were all damn hyper again. So we went to sing our Tribe cheers to the other tribes to show off to them. We battled a couple of cheers with the other tribes.

Then we had to walk a long walk to ngee an poly to this place call MySpace@72. so we crossed the overhead brigde and walked up and down many flights of stairs. I tell you arhs, Ngee ann poly is like SOOOSOSOSO damn big that you could really get lost in it. Unfortunately the weather was drizzling and the floor was wet. I fell down once! The poly also had this underpass. so we had to walk underground so that we wouldnt get wet. &&& they had this REALLY REALLY big LIBRARY. something like jurong library like that. Have sliding doors and plasma tv ..and other cool stuffs! MANNN this school is just so awesome! So we went to this place. SO DAMN BIG and the place is just for the students to HANG OUT and like so-called "their space" only lehs. The furniture and the chairs and lightings, all so damn HIGH class lahs, there's also like a tv room to watch tv and reading room. EVERYTHING IS SO COOL LAHS! and when we went in, the people there all using laptops seating on sofa-like chairs and white tables..totally awesome! so we went to this place to place to have our 2nd workshop with candice. She as funny and freaky+crazy as usual. LOLOLOL XDDDD~ Today only 3 tribes came to the wokshop as the other 2 went for the adventure park 1st. NO FAIR! they get to try the bungee jump, confidence jump + the 3 story high rock climbing.

so we spent another 3 hours in the workshop. Then after it was done, we

had to spilt into our secondary schools to have photo-taking sessions. we had to wait for the other tribes to come back so that we can take out pictures. So agnes and i were like crapping around and cam-whoring.

oh yeah! i didnt mention this to u guys but you know ben right, he hair actually EXPANDS at night sia! LOLOLOL! it expands sideways when his about to sleep. hahahs! DAMN FUNNY! So, after the photo-taking session we went back to our tribes again to have lunch! WHAT FOR LUCNCH?! here's the catch, its KFC! wooooooooooooooooohooooo~ THE FOOD JUST CANT GET ANY BETTER! all of us were like " finger-lickin" good. HAHAHS~ ^_^

After lunch we headed for the games. WHAT A PITY! we couldnt try out the NP adventure park cuz it was raining! WAHHHH~ ): that was like one of the main events of the camp! But oh well, we headed for indoor games. We headed to the sports hall. There we met with the ppl wearing green know as the ngee an poly outward bounders! we had to split into smaller groups. So among the centurions, we split into 2 groups. i was in the orange group. Then we played game such as "give me tempo ready go" , and the blow wind blow, except that this one has like this BIGBIG parachute and when the person announce something that is related to us we had to run other the parachute before we got trapped inside! Then we had this catapillar block thingy and we had to move as one so that all of us can move as one group. HAHAS! damn fun! we kept shouting "LEFT, RIGHT" all the way until my voice hurts :x After that, we procceeded downstairs to play the spider web thingy. there this rope with many strings acttached in it. the strings all form diiferent shapes and sizes of the holes. the main objective is to carry one by one the group members through the selected hole but we must not touch the strings!

Then i was the 1st to be carried. What the hell lahs! no offence, but i seriously dont like ppl touch ppl anywhere, but since i was like one of the "smallest" in the group so i volunteered to go 1st. Wei en was supporting my back, farah was holding my neck and the guys held onto my lower torso, ahahas! what an experience. then they carried me through the hole. Then we had to carry the rest of the ppl. Poor farah! she was left with the guys so wei en volunteered to help her. The WEI HOW, he was so random lahs! when we were carrying him, halfway through the hole, he was like WHOOHOO, WEEE~ =.=! damn lame! well anyways! to end off, we had like a 2nd round before we gathered into a circle to have have a debrief and dicuss what we have learnt through the games. After that we combined with the rest of our tribe members. Then we did this cheer to thank the outward bounders before procceeding back to OurSpace@72 to have a another briefing of the BIG event: which was dinner as the facilators were planning a "surprise performance" for us. So meanwhile, we cam-whored.

So went walked to convention hall and saw this LONGLONG table. with plenty of FOOD! and guess what?! we having BBQ! and there's this chef who was like bbq-ing the chicken for us. But b4 we can eat, we were told to go into the hall. It was beautifully decorated with each doors decorated by individual tribe facilitors. Ours was the "American Idol". Once we entered the place. there were many long tables and chairs placed there. Like some "formal" dinner. There were many balloons on the floor. So it like some Prom night for us. HAHAS COOL! X3. Fauzi and Bernice were the hosts. then suddenly there was loud music playing the american idol theme song. the the door nearest to us, Centurions, came bursting and came 2 AMERICAN IDOL judges. Amar aka Randy,Hongling aka Paula, and Ben aka SIMON COWEL. ahahahs! the got Jason, behind taking pictures behind them. woahh..they walk like as if got red carpet for them towards their seats. They were suppose to judge the rest of the tribe facilitator's performance.

Well, please pardon the screaming. but its so damn WILD! the Ninjas, their facailtators came me as Nurses and doctors. Spartan faciltators came in as the Buiness people so they came in with all the tie and jackets holding a flip chart of the stock market and stared dancing. The Apaches came as the military people. With the green pants and got this guy playing the snare drum. Lastly, the vikings, the faciltators came in as the Olympic Athletes. The our american idol judges had to judge their "entry" and performance. Amar, aka randy was mostly giving the good comments. The Hongling, aka Paula was giving those chim but so-like paula type of attitude comments and then ben, aka Simon was in a VERY BAD MOOD so he gave the pain-in-the-ass comments. DAMN LOL! XD~ the one i like most was the: " i though your perforance was really good.(pause) but in a torturous way." LOLOLOL.

Finally the time came for us to EAT! whoooo~ Had a BIGBIG buffet! ahaha! they were MANYMANY types of food! All also so yummy-looking! ARGHH! u was like drooling all the way. I grabbed as many food as possible (i know! im such a glutton!) There was like a wide variety of food such as: BBQ-chicken wing, Bee hoon,fride rice,agar agar,SUSHI, satay, hotdogs, beef, dory fish etc.. MANYMANY and also not forgetting the orange juice! ahahahs! i had such a scrumptous meal. I ate like i have never eaten before like that. LOLOLS!

After that, we had FUN&GAMES! (:

whooooooooo~ we started from the interaction thingy. Which was we were given this paper, they with all the comments in it. Such as: you live in the west or knows how to play musical instruments. then you have to ask sumone to sign under it if the comment represents them. So we have tto walk around. then the 3 winner came. They must prove that they are not lying so they had to ask the person who signed on their paper to come forward to prove that they can really do that that action. Ling how was one of the winners then he had call james out to prove that he can burp at his own will. Then he burped 6 times. Then after that , bernice was like: "But he's not the only one who can do this, IN fact , one of our facilitators here can burp out WORDS" then got this facilitator come out. The bernice ask him to like say "get lost!" by burping them. THEN REALLY LEHS! he can burp out the word! CREEPY! but eye-popping! (:

At last, the one that we have been waiting for, the couple game! each tribe have to sent out 1 boy and girl to represent their tribe for the game. The centurions sent our Junyong and wei en. Then altogether there were 5 couples. Then the boy's of each tribe get to choose their girl so by picking the cards. so that means, the current tribe couples have to swap so it becomes 1 girl from this tribe and the boy will be from another tribe. The Fauzi will have to tell this story and each couple have to like act it out. Junyong and this malay girl was couple 1. So fauzi was like : "one day, couple 1 were holding hands and walking down the street together." Then they really act it out lehs! all us were like WOOOOOOO~! and wolf-whistling. LOLLS! the one i find it MOST entertaining was the part where nadira and this indian guy was acting out. Fauzi was like: couple 5 saw each other at love at 1st sight. then suddenly, they started running towards each other like those in the bollywood movies in a slow motion. AFter that, they started dancing." LOLLS! then the idian guy wore this shades and the nadira was like staring at him. then they REALLY run slow motion to each other with the bollywood music at the background playing! LOLOLOLS! They stared DANCING! HAAHAHS! so sweet! after the story ended. each couple will have to do a catwalk down the do a individual pose, before coming back and do a pose together then walk back. AGAIN, nadira and her couple were so SEXY man. lolols! we all screaming like crazy ppl. Then in the end Nadira and this indian guy won the miss tao khey neo and mr tao khey. LOLOLS!

ahahhas! then after that, its time for the facilitators to play the game. Its like they were each given 1min and 30sec to take out the post-it papers labled with numbers from this board then in the paper, they have to act out the occupation and we had to guess. But in the end, Ninja and Vikings end up with a draw i think. But that was the end of the whole event and we had to go back to our apartments to have a quick shower before assembling at tribe room. Once all fo us were done, we had to a final rehersal of our cheer and skit. When were all assembled, the facilitators havent come yet, but i duuno why for some reason, all of us were SUPERDUPER hyper at night! so all started cheering by ourselves 1st. then after that, we suggested that when the facilitors come in, we all give them a surprise by cheering damn loudly for them outside the door. So thats what we did. The facitlitators were indeed surprised..giving the O__O face. LOLS! then we had to brush up and act out our skits. Theme for the finale of the skit is " First day of work" so we came up with 3 scenes. 1st one was Ah beng's 1st day in Police Academy followed by Bimbo's 1st job as a secretary and finally the H1N1 hawker centre.

and OH MY GOD lahs! for the scene 2, it was the 1st time in my life to act so bitchy. seriously! wei en and i were the main characters. Faez was the big boss.

As for the rest, we continued rehersing. Then we crapped around with the facilitators until very late cuz we are liks SUPERDUPER DAMN hyper. play games until 1.30 pm, then after that the facilitators ask us to sleep. But eventhough he ask us sleep, we never sleep! instead we go to each other's apartment and exchange contacts! i slept about 2am going 3am.

DAY 3

Today i totally OVERSLEPT! eventhough i placed the alarm, im so surprised that i couldnt even hear the alarm going! agnes and atiqah toos! we were supposed to assemble by 7.15am but we woke up like 7am?! so went to quickly shower, dress up and pack. Rushed downstairs to join the others with breakfast. AGAIN, breakfast was GOOOOOODDD! breakfast was saugsage mac-muffin with harshbrown and apple juice. there was even chili sauce for us! it was MACDONALDS this time! After that, went went to Myspace@72 to have our final workshop. This time, it wasnt candice anymore. it was this guy named : Jeff tan jack foo. SERIOUSLY! then he say ppl always mix up with this name. Is it Jeff tan? or Jack foo?! in some cases it was tan foo. so he had nicknames like jackfruit and taofu. LOLOLS! He was quite hilarious also lahs. Then we had to separate into our individual schools as we had to discuss the up coming events and how we are going to plan them and stuffs like that. After that, we had to present its to our fellow school mates of our idea. My group decided to do the national day celebration. so yeah..after the presentation (btw, nadira was really hyper here!) we went off to have lunch!

It was the LAST lunch or meal with my fellow tribe members! BOOHOO! so must treasure it. FINALLY, it came down to another scrumptous meal. Spagetti with roasted chicken and brocolli and pepsi with brownie!

hehehes! enjoyed it to the max! then after that we went to the lecture hall for the finale event! once again, fauzi and bernice were the main hosts. we were the 1st to reach there. so while waiting for the other tribes, fauzi and bernice crapped around and entertained us 1st. hahahs, then fauzi did a fashion show for us with this jacket to show us how we can change the way we wear using the same jacket! LOLS! damn funny! then even did the a solo dance fo us! he's just so damn funny! (only my laughter can describe it) and both bernice and Fauzi did the Jai ho dance by pussy cat dolls.

oh! and bernice can actually lick her elbows with her tongue sia! SO COOL! so finally, all the tribes finally arrived and the competition of the finale begins! Spartans went 1st. They were acting as the people from the metal hospital. HAHAHS! damn random and FUNNY. Then there was the Apaches and US! we REALLY did our best and went crazy to the MAX! i was surprised that i wasnt scared at all when i was acting! ahahas! we performed our best including the cheers all the wayyy~ I screamed my lungs out i tell yah! well actually, WE SCREAMED AND ACT LIKE MADD. somehow i can feel a bonding between us already. ^__^then followed by ninjas and vikings. After it was done, there was this photo slideshow for us to remember the memoriese we had made for the past 3 days. After that, the results were announced! but before that, there was like individual tribe prize. my tribe won the MOST-COOLESt tribe. HAHAHS! yeahhh..thats so us. Finally, the ULITMATE tribe was annouunced. It was the NINJAS.(nazma's group) they were screaming like hell and jumping frantically. Honestly, i was feeling a bit down. BUT, i felt that we really did our best and that we were winner from the very beggining already so..well, that really didnt matter..

after that, there was final photo-taking session of eacch tribes. Centurions did the most WACKIEST poses ever! ARGHH! I LOVE U GUYS MAN! soon, it was time to go back to our apartments to pack up and everything and assemble at tribe room for final gathering. SO SAD! D; We each exchanged contacts and cam-whored ALOT. ahahs~ then we filled up survey form and right comments bout the whole camp. i tick everything STRONGLY agreee.. and noto because for the sake of the camp BUT because i reallyreally LOVE it . EVERY MINUTE OF IT! seriously! then we each recieve like a certificate of participation and a card with our photos in it plus comments form our facilitators about us!

HAHHAS! gosh...finally, the dreaded time came.. WE HAD TO GO!): NOOOOOOO~!!!!! i was so freaking sad lahs. i mean, i really had a bonding with my new friends and i really like CENTURIONS with the wacky ppl in it..

WAHHH! i actually felt like crying but i didnt lahs... we took the bus and waved non-stop. It was short but silent journey home to clementi station. Seriously, this camp has really inspired me ALOT and has alot of impact to me. As what Fauzi said: " Those who never go to this camp, like your normal friends, will be like one of the biggest regret of you life!" i TOTALLLY agree with him 100%! FOR ONCE, i really felt REALLYREALLY lucky to be a leader and somehow i should be happy with what i am noe. all thanks to this guys here:

REALLY GUYS! I THANK YOU ALL FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART! I'll always remember CENTURIONS! aka the people who lived for centuries and the old folks home! HAHAHS! I LOVE YOU GUYS TO THE MAX!
