omg lahs, its been a long time since i came to update my blog! hahahs, lets see, i MIA-ed for like 4 weeks plus? AND, cant you believe it? time really flies! Before you know it, MYE is over and almost half of 2009 is gone D:
well enough of the crap talk! Its time to "Let my hair down and paint the town red!" quoted by mdm zainah. HAHA. so after defeating my last paper, which was biology, i was "dragged" by emily to go on a date with her to celebrate the end of the MYE. Went home, bathed and changed and was off to meet emily at the clementi interchange. First impression, WOAH. Emily's fashion sense has since improved over the last 2 years. A "thumbs-up!" :D
And so we took a train and our first destination was.....off to tampanies to check out the new japanese store, known as uniqlo. It was a rather long ride, though somehow it seemed like as though we were just sitting in the train for just a couple of mins! HAHAS! Lets see, we updated each others on whats going on and you know, gossip and share some secrets. XPPP It was really fun and kinda nostalgic. (:
When we finally reached our destination. We went straight to uniqlo, with emily choinging like mad! Unfortunately, it was a total letdown. D: I expected the shop to be better than what i have expected it to be. Most of the clothes were really plain and simple. Even those not considered as plain, we really EXPENSIVE. sheesh! honestly, i wouldnt want to spend my money on simple t-shirts that cost 40 bucks and above!? O__O?! so yeah, we left the shop, unsatisfied.
After that, we headed off to lunch as we were as hungry as werewolves and i felt my stomach growling, in a sense that i could almost eat a cow! We went "food-hunting" and finally settled into some japanese cusines at this shop. Its something like a DIY sort of thing where they give you this cashcard and you are suppose to use it when u come across a stall and what to purchase something to your liking. Since emily was a first-timer, we kinda toured around the place for while before deciding to choose, OMU RICE! xDDDD~ in case you guys dont know whats this, (the picture is located above) its like a rice, wrapped in an omelete with tomato and chowder sauce on it. REALLY TASTEY! so emily ordered the bacon with spinach omu rice while i ordered the mix-sauce rice.
Food was GREATT! we finished it in an instant. You know, i have always wanted to comment on japanese food. The thing is, the food may look small and simple, but its really VERY filling and its like once you have finished the meal, the amount is just right and you wouldnt feel so full or at the same time feel hungry after eating the meal. ahahs! finally we settled in for some desert. A meal should have a desert right???!! LOL. so emily went to order some mochi while i decided to bring it on with mango parfait. (picture above) Oh yah, i forget to mention this but, i SIMPLY LOVE MANGOS. Any desert that contains mango is a Must-Grab! XDDDD So...recommendations,anyone? (:
OKay, so after the scrumptous meal, we settled the bill and went to do some window-shopping. Such a pity that most of the items were expensive D: although emily actually bought a top from topshop, her current favorite shop for now. Since we couldnt afford much of the clothings, i suggested that we head to bugis! XP GAHHHHHHHHHHHH~ Its been a longLONG almost centuries(exact: 3months) since i been there! i miss the place so much i even miss its scent. (i know, i being crazy here.) you know, i really must thank emily because she is the greatt.. BARGAINING QUEEN! i mean seriously, when you guys decide to go shopping in bugis or anywhere else, be sure to have emily in the shopping party as well! i mean REALLY!
It all happened when i really wanted to get this top and where, my bargaining skills aint that good, even though i managed to get a cheaper price by a difference of like $3??!! And here comes emily showing of her true powers.. MUAHAHAHHA! and she went pestering the auntie with loads of excuses on why the price should be lowered. And yes! it worked and i was extremely happy that i could it at a cheaper price although, emily n i had made a vow to come back to that shop again to buy more clothings since we were broke and we had BIG holes in our wallet already. sometimes i wish my mum was there, aka.. the ATM MACHINE! MUAHAH! ok fine, i sounded so bad by using her to buy me stuffs.. (hehe)
After spending like and hour plus or so, we decided to go nto bugis junction to look around. we walked till our legs hurt. and so we took a break at mos burger with a nice hot milestone soup to energize us! ^___^v! And then we continued with our window shopping.
Finally, we to eat our dinner before heading home, so once again emily aka the food critic introduced me this stall known as "the wanton story" i love the noodles man! ahahs, the flavour and texture is just right. And guess what, just right behind us were a serious bunch of food critics giving comments on the food served to them. Like wow. there was even a reporter there to take down the remarks of the food critics. AND, i was eavesdropping on their conversation. i guess food critics DO have sensitive tastebuds and they were commmenting that the soup was too blend and stuffs like that. Emily was telling me about her wanting to be a food critic when she grows up, she wants to advertise food in those advertising companies. i spent the rest of the time Laughing-out-Loud.
Finally, it has come to the end of our date. It was certainly an enjoyable day, thanks to emily with her endless cracks of jokes. hahhas...a pretty long day too. (typing this makes me wanna sleep. =.=)
