Unfortunately, the sky grew dark and it started raining.
emily and aisyah came like 1hr late! ):
but i dont blame you guys anyway((: .... so we rushed and took our barang-barang to the shade to shield ourselves from the rain. Finally we got to dig into out ketucky chicken! hahhahs! food was great, credits to zahara((:
We then walked around vivo before we break off as zahara, farah and i wanted to go home while aisyah and emily wanted to stay on. It was a rather simple celebration but i enjoyed it anyways. (:

Well its the march holidays, ALTHOUGH it doesnt seem so to me. It seemed like any other normal schooling day. i had band camp from mon to wed. Somehow honestly i kinda enjoyed it because of the band exchange thingy where we hear other bands play their choice pieces. Here's a summary on what we did:
Monday
Two of mrs chee's schools came to our school for a band exchange. they were deyi and boon lay secondary school. Hahas. It started rather embarassing at first cuz i was shy to interact with the ppl, but after that everything was rather ok. Unfortunately there wasnt any combine though. it was like sectionals and the clarinets were posted to MPR 3. So we didnt get to hear any of our cobine pieces. )): Mr rasull came back! HURRAY! and he took us for 2 hrs for our combine practice of our set piece, Overture no.1. Then he had to rush off to take the oboe section. That was when mrs chee suggested that we played for each other's choice pieces. then after that we had free time until 5pm where the 2 schools had to leave. It was a rather boring day.
Tuesday
we went to boonlay sec. We did a combine of the 3 bands althogether on the set piece. Boy, the BAND WAS REALLY BIG. Now this is the good part: we played our choice and set pieces.
Deyi band was playing, In the winter of 1730 by james swearingen.
In The Winter Of 1730 - James Sweringenjust click if you want to listen. (:
Whereas boonlay band was playing Eiger:Journey to the summit also by james swearingen.
012-3653-00then we had a 2nd round before breaking of for lunch. i didnt interact much even though they ask us to mingle around with other ppl. sheesh. Then we went to work on our flying high in the hall. the clarinets had a interaction session with boonlay clarinets section. hahas, they were fun though..Then after that we had consultation with mr tan, AGAIN. LOL! this time he REALLY made us laugh! he kept on dancing i coudnt even concentrate. he says we should "Boogie" cuz the part was really jazzy. HAHA! then after that we went back to school.
Wednesdaythis is one of the best days of the camp. first we did a combine practice with mr chia at the training room before we went to deyi sec school to have a mass band exchange with 8 other schools. i have to admit this but deyi's school so damn friggin rich lahs.its like the school structure is really nice lahs. as we walked towards the hall, if feels like we're in a museum and not to mention their hall is BIG and they have air-condtioners installed in it, so the room feels really cool. DAMN.
So 8 schools were: Deyi, Boonlay, Jurongville, Greenview, Paya Lebar Medodist Girls, Puggol, Queensway and Yuying secondary school. Hmm..some of the bands were not that great. BUT, the most outstanding one was Yuying sec. From what i heard from mr chia, they are a COP band(certificate of participation) BUT the way they played at the mass exchange was like a GOLD BAND! i mean seriously, within a span of like 12 months they jumped TWO steps higher. i heard that they change condutor in another "band-freak" condutor and wow, a
DRASTIC improvement. They played, "And then the ocean glows" by Satoshi Yagisawa
A Tone Poem For Wind Orchestra "And Then The Ocean Glows" - The Band of NEC TamagawaTheir running notes was superb, with clarity. the cresendo was GREAT.Its really like the ocean crashing down. when they were playing that time i was having goosebumps. It was just so nice lahs. especially the sad part also. GAHHHHHHHH!!!!!
Then after that it was time to get back. i sure did learn alot. JVCB has certainly improved alot. ALL THE WAY GUYS! SYF, here we come! XDD
